This hotel offers great value for money with its affordable prices and attention to detail. The location, situated on a lovely residential street, ensures a peaceful and quiet stay. The staff provides excellent service, and the basic amenities in the rooms, including a small kitchen and one or two bedrooms, are perfect for a comfortable stay. The well-kept garden with rooms on the patio and a small front patio adds a touch of charm. Additionally, the breakfast offered is delightful.
No improvement needed, everything was satisfactory.

Arrived at night later than anticipated but was given a very friendly welcome by Masha the concierge. It was like open sesame and driving into a magical fairytale garden, a private, secluded and peaceful oasis in a noisy busy city. The 'Ruth' the house where we stayed had a spacious open plan living area and kitchen, a large bedroom upstairs and amazingly comfortable bed. Gloriously sunny and light in the morning with a great view of the garden courtyard. Liked the fact that it was very private but if you needed information or help you would get it from Masha. Very central position for visiting tourist attractiond.

We loved the setting of cottages in the garden. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Gated parking was very useful. This is a hidden gem - perfectly located in West Hollywood.

The owner was excellent. The hotel is very clean and quiet. We liked the view of the gardens from our room. Nothing was too much trouble and we would love to come back here sometime when in Los Angeles.

The rooms were beautifully decorated and restored, and the space was really magical, a true hideaway.
The customer service was really bad -- we were greeted brusquely, no-one explained anything about the rooms except about the parking (which was kinda small), there was nothing in the kitchen, not even salt and pepper, there was no housekeeping the second day we were there. Also, the gardens were in horrible shape, lots of dead vegetation everywhere, and a view out of the back of the Marilyn onto a wilderness of weeds and cobwebs. I spend 3k on 3 nights for my brother and his family and me, and I think it should have been more gracious.

The location was only a short drive from where my wife and I lived. We loved that it wasn't a "typical" hotel and that it had some authentic Hollywood history behind it. Also, we got an upgrade from a studio to a much bigger place with no additional charge. Masha, the general manager was excellent. She helped us out so much.
We stayed in the Marilyn bungalow. There was absolutely nothing we disliked about the place.

We had the most charming stay at this lovely hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a genuine smile. The grounds and exterior of the hotel are absolutely breathtaking, like an oasis in the city. Each day, we were welcomed back to a peaceful sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle. The location was ideal, with many attractions within walking distance. Our room, "The Ruth," was immaculate and beautifully furnished. We enjoyed spending time in the gorgeous living room and taking in the view of the lush flower garden and outdoor fireplace. The hotel personnel, Marina and Dylan, were incredibly friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom spacious, and the air conditioning efficient. our experience at The Charlie Hotel was truly exceptional. We will definitely be returning for another remarkable stay.
